Abstract
The enthalpy of scandium in the temperature range 406-1812 K was measured b y the method of mixing on a massive calorimeter. In the temperature range o f measurements, scandium had body-centered cubic (BCC) and hexagonal close (HCP) packings. The enthalpy of the BCC-HCP transition was found to be Delt aH(t) = 4068 J/mol. The results are compared with the literature data on th e calorimetric properties of scandium.
