Abstract
The case of a 50-year-old man with intestinal type thromboangiitis oblitera ns (Buerger disease) is reported. Intestinal manifestations included strict ure and perforation of the colon, and these preceded any symptoms of periph eral vascular disease. Only the histological examination was able to show t hat our patient had the intestinal type of thromboangiitis obliterans.
