Molecularly imprinted polymers (MIPs) represent a new class of materials th at have artificially created receptor structures(1-3). Since their discover y in 1972, MIPs have attracted considerable interest from scientists and en gineers involved with the development of chromatographic adsorbents, membra nes, sensors and enzyme and receptor mimics.
