Abstract
The X-ray structure analysis of [Ni(C5H8N2)(4)(H2O)(2)]Cl-2 was undertaken to elucidate the geometry around the Ni2+ ion. The molecule lies on a twofo ld axis which runs through the O-Ni-O atoms. The geometry around the Ni2+ i on is best described as slightly distorted tetragonal bipyramidal.
