Abstract
Water-soluble alpha -galactosyl-chitosan conjugates were prepared by reduct ive amination of p-formylphenyl beta -melibioside on chitosan in good yield . Strong binding with phytohemagglutinin was demonstrated using Griffonia s implicifolia.
