Abstract
The first luminescent tetranuclear copper(I) phosphinidene complex [Cu-4(mu -dppm)(4)(mu (4)-PPh)](BF4)(2) has been synthesized and isolated; the red- light emitting properties and air-stability of the complex in the solid sta te may render great potential for this new class of compounds in the future development of semiconducting luminescence materials and applications in L ED technology.
