Abstract
Co-crystallization of C-methylcalix[4]resorcinarene 1 with 4,4'-bipyridine 2 in the presence of m-xylene results in the formation of a 2D brick framew ork, 3c.2(m-xylene), that possesses nanoscale cavities that host four aroma tics as guests in which 1 adopts a 'T-shaped' conformation.
