Abstract
Oil was removed from crystalline polystyrene by accelerated solvent extract ion. Optimized extraction parameters (temperature, pressure, sample amount, sample pretreatment, extraction time, solvent type and its amount) were us ed for the purpose. The oil content in extracts was determined by gravimetr ic analysis. The obtained results were compared with those using Soxhlet ex tractors.
