Stress responses to endoscopic surgery

Growing evidence in the literature suggests that laparoscopic surgery shoul d be performed instead of laparotomy for the treatment of pelvic benign dis eases whenever feasible, as it results in a lower stress response on the pa rt of the patient and possibly a shorter recovery time.
