Abstract
The design steps for the diamond grinding of superhard polycrystalline mate rials, based on the central of a grinding wheel surface, using simulation o f the wear processes of the "polycrystal grain-wheel bond" system, are cons idered. Expert systems for productive and ultraprecision grinding are devel oped and discussed.
