Development of advanced ceramics such as aluminium oxide, silicon carbide,
and zirconium oxide has gained significant importance because of their desi
rable properties. However,, their engineering applications al-e still limit
ed owing to the limitations in developing crack-free and economical machini
ng techniques. This paper presents a feasibility study Sol attaining high p
roductivity with minimal surface damage by employing the high-speed grindin
g processes for such materials. The effects of the grinding parameters on t
he machined parts are analysed and reported.
