Abstract
We prove the cosmic no-hair conjecture in the Einstein-Cartan theory by tak ing into account the effects due to the spin of matter. If the ordinary mat ter forming the cosmological fluid satisfies the dominant and strong energy conditions and the anisotropy energy sigma (2) is larger than the spin ene rgy S-2 (i.e. sigma (2) - S-2 greater than or equal to 0), then all initial ly expanding Bianchi cosmologies-except type IX- evolve toward the de Sitte r spacetime on a Hubble expansion time root3/Lambda. The behavior of the Bi anchi type IX Universe is similar, provided that the cosmological constant is larger than the half of the largest scalar spatial curvature R-(3)(max).
