The composition of the flower oil obtained from Ligustrum delavayanum Harlo
t. was analyzed by GC/MS. From a total of 28 components, 24 were identified
. The main compounds were menthol (28.5%), linalool (11.6%) and ethyl dodec
anoate (11.3%). Comparison of the oil of L. delavayanum and oils from other
plants of genus Ligustrum showed substantial differences in the chemical c
omposition.
