Abstract
Research has been carried out to evaluate the use of acoustic emission stud ies on Leather. Unlike other research this technique reported here describe s the measurement of sound in the audible range. Using the technique it has been possible to construct a system to detect the grain crack that occurs during the lastometer test. This technology has been patented.
