Abstract
Strong surface-enhanced Raman scattering (SERS) from citrate, azobenze ne, pyridine and cyanine dyes adsorbed on silver oxide colloids is rep orted, and their enhancement Factors (EF) are estimated. The pronounce d SERS and high enhancement factors of the adsorbed molecules show tha t silver oxide colloids in aqueous solution are excellent SERS-active substrates. (C) 1997 Elsevier Science B.V.
