The stability of turbulent accretion discs is considered, in which a magnet
ically influenced wind plays a major role in driving the inflow. The magnet
ic field is generated by a dynamo operating in the disc, involving radial s
hear and turbulence. The steady angular momentum balance is found to be lin
early stable for a range of radial boundary conditions, and an expression i
s derived for the adjustment time-scale as a function of the equilibrium ra
tio of the magnetic and viscous disc torques.
