Abstract
Artificial neural networks have been proposed recently for control app lications in power systems. Application of a neural network to integra te the automatic voltage regulator and the conventional power system s tabilizer into a single controller is described in this paper. Simulat ion studies on a sample power system under a wide range of operating c onditions demonstrate the feasibility and effectiveness of the propose d controller. (C) 1997 Elsevier Science S.A.
