Abstract
MS medium plus 2,4-D at various concentrations promotes callus formati on in stem and leaf explants of wild chili, chile piquin. Maximum grow th was obtained with 1.5 mg 1(-1) 2,4-D. The best explants were obtain ed from 9 months old leaves.
