Abstract
Methods of deriving the Li-6/Li-7 isotope ratio from high resolution observ ations of the Li 16708 Angstrom line by means of spectral synthesis using b oth 1D hydrostatic and 3D hydrodynamical model atmospheres are discussed. R ecent results are compared to models for cosmic cay production of the lithi um isotopes in the early Galaxy.
