The reaction F-19(p,alpha gamma)O-16 is often used as a source of normalisa
tion for measurements of reactions with astrophysical interest. In order to
reduce the uncertainty of experimental data, in this work we determined F-
19(p,alpha gamma)O-16 reaction cross sections at the 872 keV and 1370 keV r
esonances, both by alpha-particle and gamma-ray counting. The angular distr
ibutions of the different alpha-particle groups were also measured. The gam
ma-ray excitation function, in the energy range 750-2800 keV, was studied f
or the three gamma-ray lines. We have obtained a result that together with
a previous one by Pecker et al narrow the uncertainty to less than 10%? for
the 872 keV resonance.
