Microscopic calculations of the direct neutron capture accounting for the f
ragmentation of quasiparticle strength in nuclei are done. The latter is de
scribed within the Green's functions formalism allowing for configuration m
ixing and coupling to collective states. The DC cross sections for Sn-124,
Pb-208 Sn-132, and Pb-232 nuclei are compared to those calculated with the
HFB, RMFT and FRDM energy levels, masses, and nuclear density distributions
