G. Ruprecht et al., Interference effects between resonant and direct reaction mechanisms for Li-9(d,alpha)He-4, NUCL PHYS A, 688(1-2), 2001, pp. 521C-523C
Evidence for an unexpected anisotropy in the angular distributions for the
Li-6(d,alpha)He-4 reaction has been observed for deuteron energies below 15
0 keV. This is explained by an interference between a subthreshold resonanc
e in Be-8 and the direct reaction contribution. By means of a coherent supe
rposition of both the reaction amplitudes (R-matrix and DWBA) the angular d
istributions could be reproduced up to 2 MeV. From the reaction model param
eters obtained excitation curves down to astrophysically relevant energies
could be calculated.
