Pgp. Moroni et S. Zavatarelli, The effects on stellar evolution of a low energy resonance in the He-3 +(3) He reaction, NUCL PHYS A, 688(1-2), 2001, pp. 572C-574C
A recent direct measurement of the He-3(He-3, 2p)He-4 reaction at the under
ground accelerator facility LUNA (Laboratori Nazionali del Gran Sasso, Ital
y) covered the energy range from 16.5 to 25 keV in the center of mass. The
possibility of a very low energy resonance in this reaction can not be rule
d out. We critically discuss the effects of such a resonance on the solar n
eutrino production and on the He-3 stellar yields for low and intermediate
mass stars.
