Abstract
A new method is proposed to accelerate the convergence rate for the SIMPLER algorithm by artificially changing the underrelaxation term to match the d ependent variable to be solved. Based on this idea, a new pressure-correcti on equation is derived, and the modified algorithm is named MSIMPLER. Five numerical experiments show that the MSIMPLER algorithm can appreciably enha nce the convergence rate for cases of low and moderate underrelaxation fact ors with good robustness.
