Abstract
Results of the study of nonlinear optical parameters of colloidal solutions of silver, gold, platinum, and copper by the Z-scan method are presented. The nonlinear refractive indices of these solutions at the wavelength of th e Nd:YAG laser (lambda = 1064 nm) and its second harmonic (lambda = 532 nm) were measured. The two-photon absorption of these solutions and their nonl inear susceptibilities were studied. (C) 2001 MAIK "Nauka/Interperiodica".
