Abstract
Neurolytic celiac plexus block (CPB) under radiological guidance is often p erformed to manage pain associated with pancreatic cancer. Serious complica tions related to the block are rare, Computed Tomography (CT)-guided neurol ytic CPB is advocated to improve the efficacy of the block and to reduce th e incidence of associated complications. We describe a case of superior mes enteric vein thrombosis associated with neurolytic CPB performed under CT g uidance. (C) 2001 Elsevier Science Ireland Ltd All rights reserved.
