Abstract
Two new aspects of the Davies theory of time development of open quantum sy stems are discussed from the physical point of view: application to the slo w-transfer (instead of the weak coupling) regime and correspondence with th e Redfield secular approximation in the Redfield theory of particle/excitat ion transfer.
