Abstract

The wake potential of a test dust particulate due to an ion cyclotron wave in a dusty plasma with streaming ions calculated. The role of the external magnetic field on the periodic attractive forces is clarified. The amplitud e of wake potential is reduced because the overshielding by streaming ions is inhibited in the presence of the external magnetic field.
