T. Matsumoto et al., Laser ultrasonics for measurements of high-temperature elastic properties and internal temperature distribution, REV SCI INS, 72(6), 2001, pp. 2777-2783
We show two kinds of demonstrations using a laser ultrasonic method. First,
we present the results of Young's modulus of ceramics at temperatures abov
e 1600 degreesC. Second, we introduce the method to determine the internal
temperature distribution of a hot steel plate with errors of less than 3%.
We compare the results obtained by this laser ultrasonic method with conven
tional contact techniques to show the validity of this method. (C) 2001 Ame
