Abstract
Electrolysis of a dilute (0.89%) NaCl solution is studied in flow-through c onditions. Accelerating the Bow dramatically decreases the chlorate yield a cid increases the efficiency and stability of the electrolyzing-cell operat ion. The best results are obtained in a cell with titanium electrodes that have a disperse platinum coating with a roughness factor of 200, with the a nodes periodically subjected to cathodic activation.
