Abstract
The details of the thermodynamic and analytical descriptions of a phase dia gram for the Ge-Sb-Te system were considered. Basic requirements for an ana lytical description were formulated. The literature was examined to select the basis data set for the description of the liquidus surface. The resulti ng model is a set of analytic expressions that describe the liquidus temper ature as a function of composition for each of the 11 primary fields of pha ses. The model also includes the table of the trajectories of monovariant l ines and the list of the coordinates of invariant points.
