Abstract
The male of Oscadytes rovirai Lagar, 1975 (Col., Pterostichidae) is de scribed. The aedeagus and the ectodermic female genitalia (genital arm our and spermathecal complex) are described in detail. The structure o f both genitalia, male and female, shows that this monospecific genus should be included in the tribe Molopini. It is concluded that the gen us Zariquieya Jeannel, 1924, is the closest genus to Oscadytes, due to the coincidence in several morphological and anatomical characters of the spermathecal complex. A series of characteristics contributing to the correct identification of both genus are given. Comments on the e cology and geonemy of this species are included.
