Abstract
In this note, a lower bound is derived on the order of stabilizers for an all-pole plant and is related to the number and locations of the p lant's unstable and lightly damped poles. Trivially, the minimal order of stabilizers is (n - 1) if all n poles of the plant are real and un stable. Several examples are included to illustrate the results. (C) 1 997 Elsevier Science B.V.
