Abstract
It was found that salicylaldoxime was formed in the aqueous phase by equili brating a mixed solvent containing salicylaldehyde and chloroform with a me tal ion aqueous solution containing hydroxylamine. Copper( II ) and nickel( II ) could be quantitatively extracted into the organic phase without usin g a chelate extractant at all.
