K. Mishima et al., Measurement of the solubilities of undecanolide and pentadecanolactone in supercritical carbon dioxide by supercritical fluid chromatography, SOL EX R D, 8, 2001, pp. 215-222
The solubilities of undecanolide (UDL) and pentadecanolactone (PDL) in supe
rcritical carbon dioxide (SC-CO2) were measured at 308.2 K and 318.2 K over
a pressure range from 12.2 to 25.3 MPa by the degree of retention in super
critical fluid chromatography. The results were compared with the data for
UDL and PDL obtained by flow type solubility measurements. To obtain the so
lubility data from the degree of retention, a cell constant, C was determin
ed from the solubility data of solutes measured by the flow type apparatus.
Measured solubility data were correlated by a solution model based on the
regular solution concept.
