Abstract
A facile "one-pot" synthesis of thiophosphoryl xanthates was carried out by using a mild base 1,8-diaza [5,4,0] bicycle undec 7-ene (DBU)-catalyzed se quential reaction of excess alcohols with carbon disulfide and diethoxy thi ophosphoryl chloride. The overall yields are excellent (65-88%).
