Abstract
Polyaniline films are produced on glass surfaces during oxidative polymeriz ation of aniline. If a steric stabilizer is introduced into reaction mixtur e, a macroscopic precipitation of polyaniline is prevented and colloidal po lyaniline dispersions are obtained instead. The films are produced also in dispersion polymerization. They are smooth and of submicrometer thickness w ith some colloidal particles adhering on their surface.
