Abstract
We are currently developing binary transition metal containing perovskite t ype materials, which potentially possess novel temperature-induced structur al and electronic transitions. Infrared, structural and electrical data for the LaCoxMn1-xO3 (x=0.5) system are reported revealing some interesting fe atures including an insulator metal transition, charge ordering and charge disproportionation.
