Z-scan experiments have been carried out over a series of novel metallotria
zolehemiporphyrazines. These macrocycles are prepared using a stepwise meth
odology. Nonlinear absorption and refraction coefficients, as well as susce
ptibilities (chi ((3))) and hyperpolarizabilities, (gamma) have been assess
ed for these materials. The results point out the influence of the metal on
the NLO properties of these macrocycles.
