We simulate a simultaneous double proton transfer controlled by laser field
s in carboxylic dimers. The motions of two protons are described by the dou
ble minimum potential. Our strategy is to move the population efficiently f
rom the one well to the other by using laser field. In order to incorporate
the relaxation effect, the time-evolution of the system is numerically inv
estigated by the density matrix theory. From the resultant solution, we dis
cuss the effective pulse sequence for the control of double proton transfer
.
