Abstract
Soluble ES3+ complexes with 2,2 ' -Bipyridine, 1,10-Phenantroline, 2-dithie nyl-2,2 ' -bipyridazine ligands, embedded in thin films of poly(methyl-meth acrylate) (PMMA) as well as in films of a conjugated polymer, poly[2-methox y, 5-(3 ' ,7 ' -dimethyl-octyloxy)]-p-phenylene vinylene (MDMO-PPV), were s tudied by luminescence spectroscopy. The characteristic Er3+ emission at si milar to1.55 mum is clearly observed in mum thick polymer films for two of the complexes.
