Abstract
The reaction of [M(dmit)(P-P)] (P-P = dppm, dppe) (dmit = 1,3-dithiol-2-thi one-4,5-dimercapto, dppe = bis-(diphenylphosphine)ethane, dppm = bis-(diphe nylphosphine)methane) with gold, silver and copper salts provides trinuclea r derivatives with the general formula [M ' {M(dmit)(P-P)}(2)] (M = Ni, Pd; M ' = Cu, Ag, Au). The same type of reactions starting with [M(dmit)(2)](n -) (M = Ni, Au) gave conducting polymers with different stoichiometry depen ding on the metal and the reaction conditions.
