Abstract
We prepared 3,4-ethylenedioxythiophene (EDOT) functionalised with hydroxyl, hexyloxymethyl and dodecyloxymethyl groups. These monomers were polymerise d and examined on account of their stability using cyclic voltammetry. Obta ined polymers are stable in the range of potentials 0 - 1.8 V. PEDOT functi onalised with a dodecyloxymethyl group was soluble in chloroform and benzen e.
