Abstract
We stretched sulfonium precursor films of PPV at room temperature under an atmosphere of water vapour. In this way completely non eliminated, stretche d preucrsor films were obtained. These films show high FTIR dichroic ratios , indicating a high degree of orientation, Electron diffraction patterns on the other hand show only diffuse rings, indicating that no 3-dimensional o rder is present in the films.
