In this article we will study the electrochemical voltamperometric waves of
two thiophene/phenylene co-oligomers. We will choose various anodic potent
ials as in the oxidative and as in the reductive branches in order to recor
d the Raman spectra as a function of the electrochemical doping level. The
evolution of the doping induced Raman bands indicates the existence of radi
cal cations at low oxidation potentials and dications at high anodic potent
ials. The participation of the phenyl caps in the structure of the electron
ic defects is shown.
