Abstract
Cohesive, high-quality conducting films of polypyrrole doped with chloride, (Cl-); methanesulfonate, (MSA(-)); or anthraquinone-2-sulfonate, (AQSA(-)) anions are readily deposited on glass substrates from polymerizing aqueous solutions of pyrrole. The properties of the films vary greatly with dopant anion and also with the hydrophobicity/hydrophilicity of the substrate sur face.
