Abstract
Polymer composites of phenothiazine-iodine (2:3 molar ratio) charge transfe r complex (CTC) with poly(vinylchloride) have been prepared in different we ight ratios. Diffusion of the CTC solution in polymer matrix and mixing of CTC and polymer solutions have been used for fabrication. Optical absorbanc e of composites reveals both a presence of a broad charge-transfer excitati on band and the effects of electron coupling to intramolecular vibrations. This coupling has been analysed in terms of the dimer charge oscillation mo del and the electron-molecular vibration coupling constants have been deter mined.
