For phenyl based polymers we describe the absorption underlying effects of
the long range Coulomb interactions -for both bound and free e - h states a
t weak and moderately strong electric fields when higher excited states are
destroyed while the primary one is preserved for which we have found the i
onization probability. The theory is based on analyzing the series of excit
ons as weakly bound states of delocalized electron and a hole.
