The reaction of CH2(PPh2NSiMe3)(2) with n-butyl-lithium or potassium hydrid
e in THF leads, after the recrystallization from toluene or n-heptane/digly
me, to the corresponding alkali derivatives [Li(THF)] [CH(PPh2NSiMe3)(2)] (
1), K[CH(PPh(2)NsiMe(3))(2)] (2), and [K(digylme)[CH(PPh2NSiMe3)(2)] (3). U
pon coordination to the metal center the ligand forms a six membered metall
acycle in which both phosphinimine nitrogen atoms bind to the metal atom.
