Abstract
Rhabdias africanus sp. nov. from South African toads Bufo maculatus Hallowe ll and B. garmani Meek is described. The species resembles R, americanus Ba ker, 1978, R. bicornis Lu, 1934 and R. ranae Walton, 1929 in possession of two lateral pseudolabia. From these species R. africanus sp. nov. differs i n peculiarities of head end morphology: presence of subdorsal and subventra l lips overhanging oral opening and barrel-shaped buccal capsule.
